The course is split into 3 stages, during all the whole process we will support you and monitor your progress.

The course will always start at 8am sharp on the scheduled day

Stage 1
Formal theory training

Runs for about 8 hours, with options for weekday and weekend sessions to accommodate varied schedules.

The course content follows the required knowledge you will need for the mandated high-risk work licence assessment. Group discussion and questions are encouraged, and the trainer spends time explaining the fundamental aspects of safe forklift operations. You will also have some hands-on time with a forklift.

After the day, you are issued your Forklift Logbook, a copy of your completed pre-test book and your forklift training manual which you will use to study prior to stage 3 mandated HRWL assessments.

Stage 2
Informal training

This is where you use your knowledge gained from the formal delivery to operate a forklift under supervision in your workplace and record your experience in your logbook.

You may take up to 12 months at this stage, but we recommend reducing this to a month. If you cannot access a forklift in your workplace, ask us about the other arrangements we can make for you.

Stage 3
Formal mandated HRWL Assessments

This is the formal mandated assessment from WHSQ for the forklift high-risk work licence. It consists of a written assessment, a calculations assessment and a performance assessment.

Generally, you will contact us when you believe you are ready for this stage, however, we will keep you advised of upcoming assessment dates which generally occur each month.

When attending this day you MUST have 3 forms of valid original proof of identity documents, your completed and signed logbook, and a valid USI number.
